Rose Unwin Reflexology

Hi, I'm Rose, a Gloucestershire based Reflexologist, also trained in traditional Indian Head Massage. I work from my peaceful home treatment room in Nailsworth as well as doing one morning a week at Nailsworth's Natural Health Clinic.

I specialise in women's health, helping women suffering from the likes of stress, anxiety, migraines, insomnia, menopausal symptoms, menstrual cycle issues, infertility etc. I also have specific qualifications in fertility reflexology and pregnancy reflexology.

Women's health is an evolving area of specialism, seeing a rise of specialist clinicians and therapists solely treating female specific health conditions. Matt Hancock issued a public statement in Spring 2021 acknowledging that less is known about women's health than men's health, and the new Women's Health Strategy will be rolled out by the NHS in 2022. 

Reflexology is a wonderfully relaxing treatment that has significant physical and mental benefits. For those that haven't experienced it before, reflexology is a blend of foot massage plus the application of gentle pressure to reflex points on the feet using thumbs - this is where the magic happens. Reflexology promotes a state of deep relaxation and improved wellbeing.

Indian Head Massage is an ancient therapy that has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. It is an incredibly relaxing holistic treatment that uses acupressure massage on the head, face, neck and shoulders. See the Therapies page for more info.

I have started having reflexology sessions with Rose in the final weeks of my first pregnancy. Rose is incredibly professional and ensures she has thorough details of any health information prior to starting any treatment. The reflexology is very calming and I felt a boost of energy afterwards, hopefully it will assist with my upcoming labour too! I would recommend Rose and expect I will visit her postnatally too for her expertise specifically on women’s health.
