The restaurant was empty when I came. The guy at the counter seemed welcoming at first, but he was actually quite rude behind a thin veil of friendliness. The fish n chips was quite a large portion, but bland. I didn't finish it. I walk past this place every day, but won't be going back.

As sad as it sounds I try to have a kebab in every place I visit. Nipped across the road from the Sheraton where I was staying and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Had a long chat with the owner who was a very pleasant guy, ordered the mixed doner ( lamb and chicken ) he made me up his special salad to go with it ( balsamic and olive oil dressing ) and I've got to say the whole meal was probably the best I've ever ever had. Next time I'm back in Edinburgh I know where I'm going again.

Lovely little chip shop - the secret surprise is the doner pizza and the lovely owner. The fish and chips and scampi are top notch but we came back for the chicken doner pizza and the warmth of the owner. Great value for money and really really good food!
