Yes, having underlay protects your laminate from moisture rising, it can also even out little deficiencies (smaller than 3mm). Some underlays offer an acoustic value to the laminate taking away that tape sound when walking over it.

We recommend buying new underlay and not using old ones that have been previously used, as it may be damaged or flattened from being under a previous floor.

Service started good. ordered £400.00 of flooring. we had 2 full unopened packs worth £160.00 not used . returned within the 14 days returns policy to be refused .. was then called a liar by the owner when she said both herself and lady who took ordered said it was no return which neither did ... excuse for no refund they had to order it in even though this was a product they stock regular..maybe clarify the return policy it seems flexible to owners needs...

I am really pleased with my new wooden floor. The whole process went like clockwork the customer service was excellent but what really impressed me is the attention to detail by the fitters. Their work is first class and they removed all the rubbish. I’m so surprised to read some of the reviews about Lisa being rude I found her lovely

From start to finish the service has been amazing. Lisa ensured the order and fit went as smoothly as possible and ensured any issues we had were resolved quickly. Liam and the lads who did the floor fitting were amazing and have made what was very much a building site look like a home by the time they had finished. Liam and the lads never stopped when they were working and we couldn’t recommend this company more. We’ve had so many compliments on our flooring, we couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

I had issues with my flooring with cracks in the stairs. I had called them politely and they were “too busy” to get back in touch with me about sorting out the problem. Not only did it take 2 MONTHS to get a fitter out after constant calls from me asking when they would be able to send one down. And when I called I asked Diane what the fitters would be doing she had said that they would be doing an assessment. We were not aware that he was fixing it immediately as we were told by Diane it was just an assessment. We were also told that if it was our responsibility for the damage we had to pay and if it wasn’t, it was free of charge. I agreed on this and accepted it. I had also asked the fitter to see whether it was our fault for the damage and he had said that the cause of the cracks and damaged were from errors in the angle fitting and that it wasn’t our fault from this. This is when he proceeded to fixed the damage and replacing. However I did not understand why there where underlying costs to this even though it was the fitting issue. And when he left, Diane called and said that we were the ones who stepped on the stairs and caused the flooring to move which made it crack. I was so confused on why the fitter had said something completely different to the employees as what he said to us. It was unfair and didn’t make sense in anyway. She constantly demanded for payment when we weren’t willing to pay since it wasn’t our fault and threatening us to the small claims court. Also it doesn’t make sense on why they would ask for payment after the work was done this lead to so much confusion. I wouldn’t have minded to paying if the fitter had stated the payment required but he did not and it was assumed to be free as it was not our fault to the damage any way. She was also saying how she told us about the fee we will be paying before however I can clearly remember that she missed it out. And when I was asking her about why she missed out such a key point about fees she decides to dodge the question multiple times and is unwilling to talk to me when I was being reasonable. Talking to them was a complete waste of time as they did not talk to us for a majority of the time and frustrating as they were irrational and short tempered. It was all absurd. Also Lisa being someone with a high status in the company was being unreasonable with the threats during the few days of the flooring being placed when we had issues about the flooring. And thinking that she would be able to help (as she manages the place) was a complete mistake. She was absolutely ridiculous being rude and lacking the basic manners expected. Talking to Lisa on the phone was infuriating as she would go ballistic on how it was our fault for the damages. Please consider again about choosing this company as they have horrific customer service and I assure you the experience received will leave you in regret!!! Such a disappointing company. If it was possible I would be giving you minus stars!

Absolutely love my flooring from SFS, Lisa and Diane was so helpful considering we had no idea what we wanted! Whenever we came we was always made to feel welcome. We Will 100% be coming here in the future for all our flooring and have recommended this to our family and friends! Thank you!x
