SIXT Car Hire - Edinburgh Airport

This review is for the emergency assistance line. I wish I could give zero stars. I am on hour 4 of waiting for our tire to be changed (3.5 hours in a gas station parking lot, tow truck, and now waiting for the tire to be unlocked so the garage can change it). Everyone I have talked to has just made excuses and the last woman was incredibly rude and had zero compassion for our family of 4 missing out on our last day. I would just imagine that an international company in a major city there would be a more efficient system. I will never use Sixt again.

Cant fault the team at Edinburgh Airport. Sam on reception was a delight to be served by, even gave us a free upgrade. The car was perfect and had a full tank of fuel. Will for sure be using again! Sam deserves a promotion!

We had carefully decided on the car we wanted to hire due to number of persons and luggage. At arrival, the lady at the desk insisted that the car would be too small for our needs and suggested we rent a BMW or Audi instead. Of course with higher fares. She brought us the BMW for us to find out the trunk was tiny and we could only fit half of our luggage. We requested that she brought us the initial car we had rented which she did and it was fine. We lost 1 hour with this process. I asked if we could drop of the car at any time to which she answered yes. When we arrived on a Sunday evening (before closing hour) the return desk was closed. Be careful there and don't let them influence your choices as I heard them do so with other tourists around me...

Pick up was a positive experience. Lizzie was extremely helpful and patient with us. She also noticed we had a 2year old and offered a toy car for her to play with which kept her occupied whilst we were sorting out paperwork. Friendly, helpful and going the extra mile - thank you!

The service I received from Jodie at the Edinburgh airport branch was absolutely fantastic. I always try to use Sixt when hiring a car and this level of friendliness and helpfulness is exactly why I keep coming back. By far the most reliable and quality car hire company out there and Jodie is a credit to your company. I must add I hired a car from Glasgow airport last year and the service was equally outstanding.
