Make sure you take photos of all sides of your rental before you leave! And take photos of all sides and internals before you drop off! Especially if you do late drop off and there is no staff around. If the manager has no time because of busy period or else to take your photos and correct the rental form, you will still have proof. At this location for example you have to leave the car on the street with late drop off and damage after is possible out of your control. And you’ll need proof as I was contacted later after the drop off about a scratch and dent I caused. Of course it was not true I had proof. Quite good price for renting a van. Add to your plan an extra 3 hours to be able to drop off on time and have public transport available back home. Pickup of your unit can take up to an hour if you have to hussle for the proper van. Best feature was the drop off at an other place and not having to drive back.

I've been a regular sixt customer for years and have always had amazing customer service... but not at this branch. My husband and I didn't realise that the closing time was 16h seeing as we were able to book to pick up a car at precisely 16h. We were 10 minutes late and there was no one there. No one had called or messaged. While I understand that when you close you close, and don't want you working extra hours, I would have expected at least a phone call or to not be able to make a reservation for when the branch closes.

Terrible experience. When booking a car, they provide you an address and instructions to find the renting facilities. The address provided was false and the instructions were incomplete. After an hour searching by foot, we found the building, and surprise surprise, the doors were locked and required a special card to enter. We called the rental and asked for help getting inside the Q Park, and the employee was not very nice. Overall, it took us 2 hours to get a freaking car and we missed the tour we had booked in our destination. With an elderly person and another disabled, carrying our luggage around Edinburgh was a nightmare. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Seemed short staffed, which led to long waiting times. However the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. You could see they were doing their best.

Great choice of cars, easy to access if coming from outside Edinburgh, excellent customer service by all staff, especially Jonas. Would recommend it to anyone.
