What a lovely well run local traditional village pub. Excellent hard working staff and great enthusiastic young landlord. Good quality food and nice selection of Beers, wines and ciders too. Good parking and easy to nip off the A303 for lunch en route to the south west. Great visit and will definitely visit again. Might even stay as the guest rooms looked inviting too. See you again soon folks thanks again.

Lovely welcoming pub with friendly staff. Maria cooked a lovely meal, seemed to really care about us having a good meal, and went the extra mile. Lucy was charming and efficient. Ross has got the place well organised and well run. It’s a lovely homely and welcoming pub. Highly recommend.

Great Pub, very polite and helpful Bar staff, Very clean and Well Looked after. Fair prices. This has become a regular stop now on a friday after work to relax and have a fair priced drink. I can see why such a great pub continues to survive when others are not.

Lovely staff, and great old building, our room was very comfortable, especially the bed, slept well. The meal service was a bit slow on a couple of occasions but to be fair they're very recently under new management so they're just getting themselves organised. Very handy if attending a function at Sparkford Hall, 3 min drive away. I would stay again 🙂

I have seen the place go through a lot of changes. Our recent visit under new management, what can I say helpful friendly staff, limited menu but understandable due to the new landlord Ross trying to keep the pub open while running a wedding in the hall. Some rooms a little dated but all in all a great evening. Looking forward to coming back
