Ripped off an old lady for almost a grand to repair the flat roof of her extension that was leaking. Upon inspection at the end, the work should have cost under £300. Left a ‘guarantee’ of his work for ten years, but the work didn’t last more than a few weeks. It was leaking again within the month and he skirted calls to come and rectify it. Eventually he sent someone down who allegedly fixed it, but within days it was leaking again. We tried to get him to come back and actually put it right, but he had every excuse in the book as to why he wasn’t able to. He eventually sent someone back, but within a few months it’s leaking again. We’ve now had to contact another roofer to fix his shoddy work. An absolute rip off cowboy who you shouldn’t use. There are plenty of reputable and competent tradesmen for hire. Steve Ward isn’t one of them.

Please please be very careful this guy takes your money & doesn’t do the work. He did my roof called him back as still was leaking and kept making excuses. Don’t want anyone to lose there money so be careful. He’s also given himself a 5 star rating the only 5 star rating on his page.

This man ripped my 78 year mother off. Charged her near £1000 for a job that should have been £200. The roof still leaks and he hasnt been back to correct his appalling work despite saying he would. I am now in the process of taking this vile man to court.

I would not use this roofer again. A year after he did my roof it started to leak. Partner went on top to see that it had been left in a mess. The felt had only been laid up to the tiles, which then had caused the tape to weather and water to come in to my home. A lot of the debris had been left on top rather than disposing of it.I rang to ask him to come and look at the roof, and was promised he would come to look. He never did. As a reult I have had to get another roofer to sort the problem out. No one should have to keep badgering contractors to come and check the job they had been paid good money to do. Very disapointed and cynical about employing workmen now.

I had a very good service from Mr Ward roofing to stop a leek which was causing damp and mold in home and would recommend him for the service he provided
