I started working with Alex to recover from a shoulder injury that has been putting me out of training for more than the last two years. Alex really dove into the issue with me, made me feel valued and helped me determine how to return to training by working around the issue, not through the pain. Alex is an amazing coach to work with due to his large knowledge base and the way he is willing to support you in all aspects of your life that support training. If you're hurt and want to get back to enjoying training, work with Alex, he will get you there.

I am a road cyclist but have done strength training for over 30 years. I have never had an injury until the last few years. Three years ago I developed a cycling problem and 18 months ago a shoulder issue. The shoulder issue prevented me from doing any overhead exercises and I was in constant pain. The pain then started to affect my back. I have not had a good nights sleep for a long time. Over this time I have worked with three physiotherapists and followed their advice but was unable to resolve the problem. I decided to find a physio with a strength and conditioning background as I am aware exercise helps recovery. I started working with Alex three weeks ago and I am completely out of pain. I am back in the gym building up my strength and able to do overhead strength exercise again. We are now working to resolve my cycling issue. Using the app he recommends is simple even if you are older as I am. The app comes with videos of the exercise and correct technique and you can upload a video if you want your technique checked. He stays in regular contact with you throughout. I was unsure about working with a physio online but using another apple have been able to monitor range of movement in my joints as well. I highly recommend if you are suffering with pain and unable to exercise then contact him for help.

I'm only a few weeks into working with Alex and already feeling lots more confident in healing my wrist injury. After having a disappointing experience with an osteopath who told me to stop overhead training for 4 weeks, I was really interested in Alex's more pragmatic approach to physio and his specialism in weightlifting. I'm now beginning to snatch 60kg for reps pain free already! I also like the fact that he takes a holistic approach to his clients, so we are working on improving my general attitude to training and trying to enjoy it rather than obsessing over numbers.

I'm a powerlifter and have been doing weight training for half my life. I've struggled with pain in my right knee periodically, but as I injured myself again earlier this year, I wanted to finally find a solution - after all, trying to tackle this myself hasn't worked for me so far. And thus I reached out to Alex. Alex was the perfect fit for me - he lifts himself and understands the struggles I experience. Where other physios recommend to do less of the exercise that hurt us (or tell us to not lift at all), he recommends doing more of it - but in a smart way. Over the past months, I've improved my technique in all my lifts. I haven't felt as good with my technique ever before. I notice how my stability improves, how my weak areas get stronger, how my technique allows me to build up strength again in a safe way. And did I mention that my knee pain is gone? Alex draws his vast knowledge from scientific studies and years of experience, which is something I appreciate very much. Instead of relying on anecdotes, we followed through a thorough assessment of my perceived problem areas, and found solutions to all of them. I can highly recommend Alex's coaching to anyone who wants to seriously examine their weak points and improve their lifting.

I injured my lower back in January and couldn't lift weights the way I used to anymore. It was my first ever injury so I had no idea what I should or shouldn't be doing, so I stopped training for a whole month without seeing any improvements. Desperate to get back into the gym, I found Alex through a quick Google search and started working with him shortly after. It's been 3 months now and my back pain is getting better each and every week! But the best part of it is that I am back in the gym, lifting heavy and progressing, all whilst healing my lower back. Can't recommend Alex enough!
