The Arden Arms

The Arden is a gem of a pub with a fascinating past. It is an early 19th century coaching inn set on the edge of Stockport’s historic Market Place - has received many CAMRA accolades for the quality and choice of their cask beers and has also won both regional and national pub of the year awards. The Good Beer Guide describes the pub as “Grade II listed and warranting a visit for the building alone”. The Guide continues... "Note the fine bar, tiled lobby, grandfather clock & splendid snug”. Renowned locally for its excellent quality, home-cooked food and welcoming atmosphere, the pub regularly features live music, entertainment and an extremely popular quiz. A great pub well known for its quality menu and selection of Robinson's real ales including the Iron Maiden named Trooper beer. Good outdoor facilities and a good venue for live bands. There isn't a designated car park.

What a gem! Lovely traditional pub, with a modern twist. The food was so good and the atmosphere was wonderful, all staff were so friendly. Glad I wandered in, definitely will be a regular now.
