Our restaurant and bar are available to book Wednesday to Sunday. We allow dogs in our bar area but we have limited tables available for booking.

craig harris5 StarHaving a change of plans with work and being able to return home for my Birthday weekend meant securing a last minute booking for me to celebrate with friends and family.
No problem for the very helpful staff at The Bird in Hand, nothing was a problem for them and we were very well looked after, the chef even offered and cooked us a special sharing paella for 8 of the 18 guests.
The children had great meals and emptied every plate. One of our guests is vegetarian and the Chef made a dish requested specially by our guest.
Absolutely nothing was too much for the kitchen staff and front of house team to deliver in making for a very comfortable, delicious and special birthday celebration.
Excellent food, excellent service. One of Chesters best kept secrets!

Millie Crane5 StarAmazing! We came for Sunday dinner, the bar area was lovely and we were very happy we could bring our dog. Every staff member was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Food choice was amazing - didn’t know what to pick! I am coeliac (gluten free) and the staff knew exactly what I could have and there was lots and lots of choice for me!
