Welcome you to the Boat and Anchor Inn. This traditional English country inn is located in Somerset and rests on the tranquil banks of the Bridgwater to Taunton canal.

Here at the Boat and Anchor guests can enjoy traditional pub fare in a home from home atmosphere. The menu features a variety of classic dishes and homemade specials. There are 19 comfortable en-suite rooms, with free Wifi, some of which enjoy pretty views of the surrounding countryside and canal.

There is ample free parking and we can accommodate motor homes for which we ask a donation to the charity box.

On occasions we will take pets but please ask in advance.

We are easy to find being conveniently located a short drive from junction 24 on the M5. So if you are looking for good service and good value bed and breakfast in Somerset then give us a call.

After a recent bout of bad tenants, this place is on the mend.. with lush canal side seating outside, a billiard's room and friendly and welcoming staff it wont be long till these guys have the place up to scratch.. look forward to my next canal walk, as the boat and anchor is my carrot on a 5k hike.. enjoy y'all!!!

Only came for a bite to eat and a pint. This place is amazing! Really lovely welcome, food was perfectly cooked, beer garden was perfect with some awesome views of the canal. Will definately come here more often.

We were looking for somewhere to hold a private party. Zina was brilliant. The buffet prepared by the pub was brilliant. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Would highly recommend.

The place was completely empty despite the good weather. The staff displayed rude attitude when told we decided to leave as there was only us and some tumbleweeds. Won't visit again under the current management.
