Food was delicious and massive portion had the Sunday roast and it was perfect. Children's portions are a bit too big for children, needed to be half of what it was. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall really nice place for Sunday lunch

Where to start. I’ve been in here a couple of times. It’s my local and I tried really hard to like the place. - last night I was rudely told to remove my hat (a woolen flat cap) by the barmaid. It’s a cold January night in Manchester. You’re a Lees chain pub, one rung above Wetherspoons. Have a word with yourselves. - beer selection is dreadful, no independent ales whatsoever. - food is unremarkable and does not appear to be fresh or home made. There are far better places to drink nearby. The Moor Top, Heaton Hops and the Plough are all close, have a better offer and friendlier staff. I live next door and will not be returning. Edit - I left this review over two years ago - no idea why the publishing date seems to have made it look like it's just appeared. Your pub is still awful.

Lovely spot in Heaton Moor. One of the best beer gardens. Really top quality pub. Only four stars because vegan options are not great. Sort out the food and it would be hard to beat.

Nice enough pub in a popular area. It's a J.W. Lees house, so the offerings are what you would expect from that stable. But it doesn't really strive to be anything more than that.

Went at lunchtime, wasn't expecting too much but the food was pretty bad. The staff however were great, one woman in particular was amazing (can't remember her name unfortunately). She went out of her way for everyone and the way she looked after a couple of elderly customers who were clearly regulars was lovely. Won't be rushing back though.
