Beautiful little tea room, in Writtle, a and providing you ask when you get there if there's room for dogs, no problem... I was promised a cream tea from My Brother in Law (when I came out of Hospital).. So me being me I kept him to his word (NOT that he would of not remembered).. The "Tea Room" was really pretty, and with seating outside in the courtyard, a d about 8tables inside... I found the prices to be a little bit more expensive, BUT when u think the Tea Room is set on the same ground as Writtle College, and the fact that they sell and use "Tiptree products", the price doesn't seem so bad. Beautiful scones, jam n cream, and lovely coffee, good selection of sandwiches /jackets etc.. I really had a lovely Afternoon, with my Mum, Aunt, and Brother in law, and our 3 mischievous dogs,.. Thank you very much for a really lovely Afternoon and great food.

Very pleasant place for a light lunch or soft drinks. You can also buy jam. Nice outside area as well.

I love this tea room. Great food - tasty and good prices. Beautiful cream teas. Staff are friendly and helpful. Often very busy and hard to get a table. They don't always take bookings.

People have choice to eat indoors or outdoors and I like to say you can book a table indoors, we found the staff are friendly and helpful
