A very good Sunday lunch. The food was cooked perfectly, massive Yorkshire pudding. The portions are large,and sadly left no room for a desert. We've been many times before and had food from the menu, which is always good. The staff are attentive and friendly. We live nearby so it's a gem for us.

Superb! Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but would love to come back! Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff, and the food…delicious! Huge portions for a more than fair price! Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all!

Very friendly staff, great service. Good clean room, very comfortable bed. It's very unusual for me to get a good nights sleep. No problem at The Punch Bowl. The location is excellent for a base from which to travel to the myriad attractions in the area. The food is truly excellent.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming, food is always nice and good size portions. Never had any issues and would highly recommend. Nice bar area, big beer garden, parking. What more do you need 😁

Room was nice and clean and modern. Unfortunately, it turns out our room is frequently used by scientists to test how objects and people cope under conditions similar to the sun. Our room was the oven and we were the unwilling bread. It would have been colder to nip down to the local kebab shop and take a quick dip in their chip fryer. Fans must be at a premium in the north east. As a southerner, I feel I was more prepared for the heat but a cold-conditioned, frostbitten northern would probably have melted on the spot. In the morning, after having not slept at all. I noticed that there was a fella in the corner of our room selling ice creams and dolphin excursions. My point is that the room was obscenely hot and opening the windows did nothing but satiate the mosquito overlords. Nice room though
