What a warming place with fantastic staff. We were welcomed with a smile. Please don’t be fooled by how basic this meal looks. It had the best eggs I’ve ever eaten. The chips were on another level. The ham was out of this world. 9/10 for effort, 9/10 for taste, 1/10 for presentation. Kudos to the chef.

Menu is very very deceiving all the mains like fish and chips, cheese pie ect all say home cut home made chips they was not they were 100% frozen steak thick chips still solid in the middle there wasn't even a hint of mint in my peas again stated on the menu and I've never had yellow beer battered fish before until today it tasted like it had spices on the fish wasn't impressed on this quiet country pub dogs running all over the place off leads and actually trying to stand on tables without intervention from staff or owners poor waitress was rushed off her feet because she was literally the only 1 doing anything don't mind paying £52 out for lunch if you get what you payed for on this occasion at this pub I didn't get what I paid for won't be making anymore visits here in the future oh and the coke machine wants cleaning out and re carbonating

Food was great and the service was incredibly personable. We arrived early and the team made every effort to get us seated as soon as they could. It was a VERY busy day. The food did take a while to get to us but I'm assuming this was due to the busyness of the venue. The food was great, very homely and tasty. Great portion sizes too.

Not good.. After checking the menu my wife ordered Mussels.. She was told she couldn't have them as the chef is allergic to them !!!!. She then ordered another meal that was not well cooked...I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare ..It was well done and to be honest didn't even look like sirloin...I do eat quite a bit of steak throughout the year and this was the worst over cooked piece of meat I've ever had the misfortune to order..When I told the waitress, she couldn't of been less interested if she tried..When I paid not a word was said by any of the staff behind the bar and it was obvious I wasn't happy...This place used to serve excellent food...What happened...
