Alan Cheesley5 StarFriendly locals and good beer.
Dropped into the pub next door to our B&B for a couple before dinner. This was a cycle trip raising money by visiting all the Lifeboat Stations in GB, and the locals donated to our cause. Good old fashioned proper pub with lots of good beers.Sunday 17th July 2022
G5 StarGreat location full of Naval history just off the main Cowes High Street. Polite and friendly young lady behind the bar ( Vicky) who even explained the history and the age of the inn. Lovely ales but no food apart from a great pickled egg. The only downside. Could do with Local IOW draft ales. Well worth a try and wiill definitely be coming back again. 😊Saturday 29th October 2022
Laura Matthews1 StarAwful. A noisy fridge in the room was prevent decent sleep but then we were woken at 1:30am by a bagpipe player and what sounded like one hundred people stomping their feet and shouting in the pub below. Some sort of party carried on for hours. Then in the morning we couldn’t even have a cup of tea as the milk was off so we might as well have turned the fridge off. Couldn’t have any of the breakfast items that were just left on a table outside in the hallway as it was just pastries and cereals and I can’t eat carbohydrates (this had been explained). Nobody out to speak to.Monday 15th August 2022
Ju5 StarGreat little pub, just nipped in for a drink as they don't do food (unless you want a pickled egg).😀..Vicky was very efficient and friendly with good drinks and service..My brother-in-law (Mike Oxlong) especially loved the pint of LEFFE...Friday 28th October 2022
tracey bennett3 StarRoom was nice but the bathroom had hair on the floor and the shower didn't drain properly.
Continental breakfast which you had to take to your room to eat.Thursday 30th June 2022
