Took advantage of the eat out to help out initiative. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch; filled to the eyeballs. Great service, thumbs-up. Update May 2022: The Woodside has undergone a major refurbishment - the decor was slightly tired before but the repairs have gone much further than a coat of paint or replacing the blinds. The entrance now boasts a York Stone floor, that is beautiful. The rest of the decor is reserved and stylish. There definitely feels like there is more space to wine and dine. The service remains excellent, the food has improved greatly - not that it was terrible before. Love the breakfast (keep our table free in the corner) the Sunday roast is plentiful, tasty and definitely value for money. Two thumbs-up. [It has dawned on me that if I review 'The Woodside' again I will have no more thumbs to point skywards. Marcus Aurelius didn't have this problem did he]

Third time we've been and exceptional yet again. A little slow on the service for food. However the food that came out the kitchen was well worth the wait! Highly recommend

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming place to be. Our roast dinners was lovely, just needed to be served with more gravy, I know you can order more, which we did but was only in tiny jugs for the size of the meal, would be better served in larger jug. Other than that excellent 👌 food, service and staff.

Got something I thought they could not mess-up, but they did = Burgers. The Food was warm, salad was 1 wilted leaf of lettuce and a few bits of onion, there was no knives or fork with the food and they took an extra 3 min to arrive, After finishing the food, we were asked to move to the bar, with no time to settle. A miserable service that cost over £10 per burger - the first an last time there.

Love this place. It's a cosy place to eat and drink and the food is very nice and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Sunday dinner. There's plenty of parking and some outdoor drinking space and is a few feet away from a bus stop. ETA: They've had a refurb inside and out and added more outdoor seating. It looks lovely! They've also given the menu a bit of a revamp. Only downside is the menu says to ask your server about children's options for brunch but apparently there isn't a children's option for brunch and you can either pick an adult option or make your own from the extras section. Worked out well for us though as it made it easier to get exactly what we wanted.
