Ellen is a LIAR. I had booked the Tyseley Community Centre for my nieces Gender Reveal Party. I had several telephone conversations WITH Ellen the Centre Manager regarding this booking. My niece and I had gone down to view the centre and room we had asked to book. Ellen, in our presence put a ‘sticker’ in the book which would confirm we definitely did want the room for Saturday 26th March 2022. We called a few days before just to check if we would be allowed to set up an hour earlier. SHOCK was told by Ellen there was NO booking she lied and said she had called several times and I had CANCELLED. Why would I cancel when invitation had gone out? She notified us the hall had been booked for a Mr Khan and before she took his book she called me and I told her to cancel. I am so annoyed and shocked at how she lied. I checked with my niece and she was going to pay her deposit but because she was reassured by Ellen that the hall was definitely booked she would go in a few days before and pay. I accept the deposit was not paid at the time of booking however , what I will not accept is being LIED to. I would not recommend this venue. Poor management and liars.
